Description:

Help us continue our annual tradition of opening and maintaining the trail to the historic 9,000 foot St. Mary’s Peak Fire Lookout. This is one of the busiest trails on the Bitterroot National Forest, so early season maintenance is critical. Please note, this project is rated easy/moderate. If you wish to hike to the lookout with the group, the hike is fairly arduous, with 2500ft of elevation gained in 3.5 miles.

We will meet up on the evening of Friday 7/6 at base camp in Stevensville. Locals can meet us Saturday morning if desired. Plan to work all day on Saturday and Sunday. If you are driving from afar, you are welcome to stay with us Sunday night (7/8) and we will provide dinner and then breakfast for you on Monday morning (7/9) before you hit the road.
