Become an SBFC Member
Why become an SBFC member? Good question. Many answers.

By becoming a member, you are doing more than just supporting the Selway-Bitterroot Frank Church Foundation. You are:
- Putting your foot forward to help protect one of our nation’s greatest legacies: Our Wildlands
The Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness and Frank Church-River of No Return Wilderness are two of the flagships of our National Wilderness Preservation System, yet their integrity has suffered due to declining federal funding. We work year-round to make sure these iconic wilderness areas stay as wild and accessible as possible. - Putting people on the ground who work to improve stewardship of the Selway-Bitterroot and Frank Church-River of No Return regions
Trail maintenance. Invasive wees treatment. Cabin and lookout stewardship. And more. If it needs to be donw in wilderness or surrounding wildlands, we do it. Working in partnership with the Forest Service, we bring volunteers, interns and crew leaders together to get on-the-ground work accomplished in the Selway-Bitterroot and Frank Church-River of No Return. - Helping to train the next generation of wilderness leaders
Through our Wilderness Ranger Internship Program we are not only training a new generation to be effective wilderness stewards, but are opening doors for these future leaders to pursue careers in the wilderness field. - Promoting public lands education
Whether through discussions around the campfire with volunteers or working with elementary and middle school students in the front-country, we feel it is critical to not only get people out into the wilderness but also provide wilderness education to citizens of all ages and backgrounds.
