When a large forest fire blazes though a dense stand of Lodge Pole Pine trees it can leave a path of destruction in its wake that will affect the area for years to come. Just such an event occurred in 2007 when the Bridge Creek Fire ripped through the Swamp Creek area leaving thousands of standing dead trees to come crashing down across the trail for the next decade or two. We will be cutting out the most recent batch of trees blocking the trails in the SwampCreek area.
