SCHEDULE: 9 AM - 3 PM PST

DESCRIPTION:
Have you been wondering what trail work is all about? Are you looking for a fun and rewarding way to kick off the summer hiking season? National Trails Day is a great opportunity to give back to your National Forests through stewardship of your favorite trails.
Join SBFC staff and volunteers on the Sheafman Creek Trail #082. We will perform annual maintenance, including brushing vegetation back to widen the trail corridor with loppers, cleaning leaf litter and rocks from drains with a shovel, and using a crosscut or hand saw to clear any downed trees in the trail.
SBFC will provide lunch, snacks, and cold beverages.
Youth volunteer opportunity:
Youth ages 12-18 can join us on National Trails Day and will be led by our dedicated Youth Program Director! Parents can drop off their teens at 9 AM at Sheafman Creek Trailhead and pick them up at 3 PM.
